What is Raindrop?

A unique application of essential oils

ABOUT RAINDROP TECHNIQUE

Raindrop focuses on the Central Nervous system: spinal cord and brain. Raindrop helps to support the body’s natural defenses. Raindrop supports:

  • immune & lymphatic system

  • digestive system

  • muscular/skeletal system

  • joints & ligaments

  • detoxification system

  • central & peripheral nervous system

HOW IT WORKS

The beginning starts with balancing the mind and body. Valor essential oil balances the body and calms emotions to be prepared for the application of essential oils on the spine and feet.

Valor is applied on the bottoms of the feet to relax and body and bring the body into alignment - to align the energy centers.

Following this step, Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Wintergreen, Marjoram & Peppermint are applied via the VitaFlex technique.

Vitaflex is a way to create electrical stimulation through the nerves of the feet to awaken the body and energy centers.

After the application on the feet, the essential oils are applied on the back followed by a hot compress for 10 minutes. The hot compress drives the oils in deeper into the tissues, relaxes the muscles and calms the mind.

BENEFITS OF RECEIVING RAINDROP:

  • Acts as a lymphatic pump

  • Lengthens the spine (typically a person will “grow” about 1/2 an inch following the session)

  • Relaxes and eases muscle tension and discomfort

  • Pain management

  • Protects and defends the body from pathogens

  • Eases head discomfort

  • Stress relief

  • Supports sleep

Raindrop uses only Young Living Therapeutic Essential Oils and some people may be sensitive to these strong “hot” oils. Always dilute oils when applying them to the skin.

History of Raindrop Technique

Gary Young is the creator of the Raindrop Technique, an approach that combines powerful Native American traditions with a light massage application of essential oils to help bring the body into structural and electrical alignment.

The Native American tradition tells of a tribal journey far north into Canada to witness the Aurora Borealis.  The legend states that the indians would lift their arms up to the sky towards the lights to accept the healing powers of the Aurora Borealis.

The purpose of Raindrop Technique is to mimic the affect of the Aurora Borealis to create the same healing power using feather stroking techniques with the tips of the fingers gliding up the spine.

The reason Raindrop Technique got it’s name is how the oils are applied: by holding the bottle 6 inches above the back and letting the oil drop onto the skin, starting from the sacrum up to the shoulder blades.  It feels like a rain drop gently striking your spine, stimulating the nerves and relaxing the body. It is thought that the oils interact with a person's electric field before even penetrating the skin of the back. Thereby, enhancing the electromagnetic properties of the oils as well.

Raindrop Technique uses a layering process of 9 different Young Living's therapeutic grade essential oils applied to the feet and spine. The combination of these oils, and the application of a moist warm towel to the spine and back, allows the oils to penetrate your body rapidly and begin their therapeutic process on a cellular level.  The oils are used are specifically designed for this process to cleanse the cell’s receptor sites, delete incorrect data, or DNA and restoring the cell to their proper function.
