hosting a class

5 simple steps to hosting/teaching your first class!

We are excited for you to share the love of these Young Living products with the friends and family in your life! Here’s the 101 on hosting a successful workshop/class!

#1 Pick your class

Our most popular class is the Essential Oils 101, however we have lots more classes we enjoy hosting and teaching: Savvy Minerals, Thieves Home Cleaning, NingXia Red and even more! To keep it real simple, we suggest starting out with the Essential Oils 101.

#2 save the date

Your next step is to choose the date of your class. Are you teaching it or is your support team leader teaching? Schedule a day that works for the host & the presenter. We encourage at least 2 weeks in advance - so that you have time to plan and invite!

#3 invite, invite, invite!!!

This is the best part and probably will be the most challenging. We have some easy tips to follow to make inviting your friends and family as easy as possible!

Make it personal. Individual messages are always better than mass invites… people like to be thought of!

Create urgency. A little bit of urgency and even FOMO is okay! What are your friends going to miss out on if they don’t come, and more importantly - what will they benefit from if they do come! We’re in the business of changing lives, so they don’t want to miss out on this!

No prejudging! Invite EVERYONE! You may not have a lot of space but if you only invite the amount of people who can fit in your home, you may not get anyone at all! Even the people you wouldn’t think would come! Remember, the stats are your “no”s are “no”s, your “maybe”s are “no”s and half your “yes”s show up.

#4 opening night!

Today is the day of your class!! Remember to keep it real simple. We encourage hosts to only provide water and restrooms. Food and drinks can be distracting and take away from the quality information of the class. Have your Premium Starter Kit displayed with all the starter kit oils, NingXia Red, Thieves Cleaner & enrollment forms.

#5 follow up

Congratulations you have made it through your first class!! We are so proud of you! Now this is the time to schedule your next class - this time pick NingXia or Thieves to teach on and get one of your guests to host it next time!!

This makes it fun! Maybe a class a month? or Bimonthly? You can choose. Create a community and stay in touch with the guests who attend. Remember, THE FORTUNE IS IN THE FOLLOW UP! If any of your guests left that class without a starter kit, make sure to follow up with them and continue to invite them to more classes — “no” is just “not right now”!
