What is a carrier oil?

Q: What is a carrier oil?

A: A carrier oil is a base oil that is used with essential oils to reduce any burning, slow the absorption rate, and spread the essential oil further.  Examples are coconut, olive, jojoba, sesame, almond oils.  Young Living has a carrier oil called V-6 that is a combination.
